The brief was to design a modern home, with plenty of natural light entry into common areas and bedrooms.  With floor to ceiling windows on the ground floor and first floor, and floor to ceiling height bifold doors, it is certain that all the living areas will have access to sunlight.

To compliment the traditional houses in the neighbourhood and the tree lined streetscape, we have used travertine looking cladding with timber looked cladding on the external facades.  Not only it is visually appealing, it is also easy to maintain for the owners.  The black window frames,  a stark contrast to the travertine looked cladding, creates a contemporary touch to the external façade.

Despite the land being relatively small, we have managed to fit approximately 60Sq home, with a basement that has a large amount of living and entertainment space.  Pockets of light wells not only allowed for natural light, but also ventilation to the basement.  A gentle curved staircase within the large open plan living spaces forms  the centrepiece of this house
